All members of SSAGO, including associates, are entitled to come if they are properly registered on the SSAGO website with their club. Unfortunately, due to the very limited spaces, we’re not able to offer places to SAGGA members who no longer hold an active SSAGO membership. Should there be spaces remaining as we come towards the end of the primary booking phase, then we will re-consider this position.
Unfortunately not, as the logistical challenges of navigating accommodation prices for an unknown number of individuals staying until the Sunday/Monday was too complex. You are more than welcome to leave whenever you need to for other commitments, however we will not be able to modify the price.
If/when bookings fill up, there will be a google form that you can fill out if you have not been able to secure a place. Should a place open up, we will contact the individuals on the waiting list in a first-come-first-served basis, and you will have 24 hours to secure your place before it is offered to the next person on the list.
Your passport must be valid for 3 months after the date you plan to leave Switzerland/France (which for most of us will be 16/11/26), and it must have been issued within 10 years of your arrival in Switzerland/France (which for most of us will be 13/11/26). For those travelling on a UK passport, it is, in general, safest to ensure you have 6 months of validity on your passport from the intended date of arrival, since you are authorised to stay for 90 days visa-free (assuming you haven't travelled to the Schengen area in the previous 180 days).
As such, if your passport was issued before 13/11/16, or has an expiry date before 16/5/27, we would strongly encourage you to renew your passport as soon as possible, or consider whether you are able to attend the trip.
Due to the high numbers on the original expression of interest form, we request that you pay within two weeks of making the original booking, or by the end of the main booking phase, whichever is soonest. If this is not completed, then your booking will be cancelled and opened up to another individual, either on the waiting list or during the general booking phase. If this causes any concerns, please get in touch with committee via [email protected], and we will review each situation as a committee on a case-by-case basis.
If you need to cancel your booking, we will offer a refund if we are able to fill your place. Please email us ASAP at [email protected] before you cancel so we can start the process of offering your place. We will strongly encourge you to let us know no later than the 16th October.
If you have accessibility needs, please let us know by email to [email protected] as soon as possible, and we will do everything we can to make any necessary reasonable adjustments. We do not currently know the precise itinerary for our CERN visit, and some of the potential visit points may not be able to accommodate all requirements. The sooner we are aware of any requirements, the more likely we are to be able to accommodate it.
If you experience any issues in the booking process, please contact [email protected].
